2. The Life of St Faustina: Divine Mercy Series

This image is a small snapshot of Saint Faustina’s life. Painted are Divine Mercy rays beaming on a prayerful Saint Faustina. The building is Basilica of Divine Mercy(the old church) in Krakow Poland where her body lay. Top right are the words in Polish “Divine Mercy in My Soul”and bottom left is an impression of an very old b&w photo of her and her family. She was the third of ten kids. The florals are hyacinths for prettiness but they also symbolize the “blue” aspect of the divine mercy rays: faithfulness, purity, waters of baptism. The whole painting is on top of newsprint due to the amount of writing she did in her short life. Enjoy.
